About Katie Sullivan
From Yardley youth soccer to D3 National Player of the Year to current pro with Sporting JAX — Katie brings NCAA championship experience and a passion for player development back to Bucks County — learn her story.
Katie Sullivan
Katie Sullivan is a professional soccer player, a Yardley, Pennsylvania native, and the founder of KGoals. She currently plays forward for Sporting JAX in the USL Super League — the highest level of professional women’s soccer alongside the NWSL — and is the 2024 NCAA Division III National Player of the Year, the first player in Johns Hopkins University and Centennial Conference history to earn that honor.
But before the national awards and the professional contract, Katie was a kid who grew up playing soccer on the fields of Lower Makefield Township. Her story didn’t follow the conventional path. She chose a Division III school over bigger programs because she wanted a world-class education alongside world-class soccer. That decision didn’t limit her — it launched her.
KGoals exists because Katie believes every young player in Bucks County deserves access to the kind of training, mentorship, and development that helped her go from local travel soccer to the professional stage.
Growing Up in Bucks County
Katie’s soccer journey started at Yardley Makefield Soccer, where she learned to love the game and developed the technical foundation that would carry her through every level. She played her high school career at Villa Joseph Marie, scoring 56 goals and adding 44 assists across four seasons. She helped lead Villa Joe to four consecutive District 1 championships and a PIAA Class 3A state title in 2018.
Even during those years, Katie was giving back. She volunteered as a Special Stars coach at YMS, working with children with special needs in adapted soccer programming. She also began volunteering with AHTN Shared Meals, an organization advocating for the homeless and those in need — a commitment she has maintained since 2017.
Bucks County shaped who Katie is as a player and a person. The competitive travel team culture, the dedicated coaching community, and the families who invest in their children’s development — she understands it all because she lived it.
D3 National Player of the Year The Johns Hopkins Chapter
Katie chose Johns Hopkins University because she wanted to compete at the highest collegiate level without sacrificing her education. It was a decision that paid off in every way.
Over four seasons with the Blue Jays, Katie became one of the most decorated players in program history. She finished with 60 career goals (second all-time), 31 assists (tied for second), and 151 total points (second). She led the team in goals or assists every single season and logged a point in every NCAA tournament game she played.
The defining moment came in 2022 when Katie scored the game-winning goal in the NCAA Division III National Championship final against Case Western Reserve. That season, the Blue Jays went on to compile a combined 73-8-9 record during her four-year career — an .861 winning percentage.

From D3 to Professional Soccer
After graduating, Katie did what many people said wasn’t possible for a D3 player — she went professional.
In February 2025, she signed with Athlone Town AFC in the League of Ireland Women’s Premier Division, contributing three goals and three assists during her time in Ireland. The international experience sharpened her game and expanded her perspective on player development at the professional level.
In June 2025, Katie signed with Sporting JAX (Sporting Club Jacksonville), an expansion franchise in the USL Super League. She quickly made her mark, scoring a dramatic 90th-minute equalizer against Fort Lauderdale United for her first professional goal in December 2025, followed by a game-winning goal against Tampa Bay Sun FC just one week later. Sporting JAX finished the first half of the season in first place in the league.
Katie’s D3-to-professional journey is proof that talent, work ethic, and the right development environment matter more than the division on your jersey. It’s a story she shares with every young player she trains — because if she can do it from Yardley, so can they.
Why Katie Started KGoals
KGoals was born from a simple belief: young players in Bucks County should have access to the same level of coaching and mentorship that helped Katie reach the professional level.
Too many youth soccer camps rely on generic drills, large groups, and coaches who stopped playing years ago. Katie wanted to build something different — a training program where every player gets individual attention, feedback grounded in current professional experience, and a development plan that actually moves the needle.
Whether your child is just starting out, preparing for travel team tryouts, or dreaming of playing in college, KGoals meets them where they are and helps them get where they want to go. And Katie’s not doing this from a distance. She’s on the field, demonstrating, coaching, and competing right alongside the players she trains.
Off the Field
Katie holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Johns Hopkins University. She brings the same analytical, structured approach to coaching that she applied to her studies — every training session has a purpose, a progression, and a measurable outcome.
Her community involvement runs deep. Beyond Special Stars and AHTN Shared Meals, Katie is committed to growing women’s soccer at every level and being the kind of role model she wishes she’d had growing up. She partners with brands through the Parity platform to advance visibility and investment in women’s professional sports.
When she’s not on the field or in training, you can probably find her back in Yardley — because Bucks County will always be home.
